Wound Healing Effect of 20(S)-Protopanaxadiol of Ginseng Involves VEGF-ERK Pathways in HUVECs and Diabetic Mice

Wound healing is the process of skin and soft tissue repair following an injury. Angiogenesis essential in wound plays important role regeneration. Ginseng mainly composed saponins protopanaxadiol-based ginsenosides, namely Rb1, Rb2, Rc, Re, Rg1, Rf. 20(S)-protopanaxadiol (PPD) 20(S)-protopanaxatriol (PPT) are aglycones ginsenosides produced by metabolic processes heat treatment. This study aimed to investigate effects active ingredients ginseng, aglycones, various cellular animal models. The angiogenic were investigated human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). All experiments conducted at increased intracellular glucose concentrations induction angiogenesis through tube formation was evaluated. Among used this study, PPD showed strongest wound-healing activity.
